Singapore Sling

Last week partying in Singapore was really nice. Went to Indochine for dinner and the Pump Station for live music. Sneak peak into Home club (dubstep music).

As advised by some we went to Raffles for the original Singapore Sling. It is supposedly the only place in Singapore where you can throw the nuts on the floor without breaking the law. Nut scattering is excessively done by the guests.

On Friday morning we went to Bali / Indonesia.

Team Hampi

As Team Taj worked quite nice together the same group will head out today to explore the UNESCO World Heritage of Hampi. It is located within the ruins of the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.

First the flight will go to Bangalore, then we will drive by car to Hampi and stay there until Sunday.

For me this is a good-bye to my dear colleagues in Pune as I will directly go to Singapore afterwards.

Team Taj

Yesterday we went from Pune to Delhi by Kingfisher plane on time. From Delhi our driver Sona drove us with a Toyota Innova to Agra.
Today we visited the great Taj Mahal in the morning, saw a marble factory and went to Agra Gate / Badshahi Gate on the way to Jaipur.
After a short glimpse of the Palace of Winds and Pink City by night I went to a palm reader / jewellery store. He told me that I will be married not later than at 37.
After some dinner and a drink now its time to sleep.

A weekend in Mumbai

Last weekend we went to Mumbai. On saturday morning right after breakfast we set off to Pune Railway station. Nearby is also the Shivneri terminal where the famous Shivneri busses depart for Mumbai. We paid 320 rupees each and went on a fast trip (less than 4hrs) to the fourth largest city of the world.

After drop off at Dadar we drove the final 10km through the city to the Gate to India. Our destination was the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel nearby.

Other activities on Saturday:

Sauna, Steambath, Swimming pool.

Cafe Royal

On Sunday we went out for sightseeing

Mumbai Central Railway Station, Market,  Bombay Store, Museum of Prince of Wales

Finally we did the tour at our hotel which was really great. It started at 17:00 and ended about one and a half hours later.

Then we went back to Dardar and took a bus (this time a less fancy private one) back to Pune.

Great weekend, many photographs and a really nice stay at one of the best hotels.
