After two months of exciting endeavours I’m back home.
After crossing the equator the first time of my life on the flight between Singapore and Bali another record/mark is hit: 50 scuba dives so far after three dives around Nusa Penida with Bali Scuba.
To end the day I had a great traditional Balinese massage.
Bali – Island of the Gods
The beautiful island of Bali is part of Indonesia. After arrival by plane we immediately started to explore with the driver Mr. Bomber. Sculptures, a traditonal dance by the cliffs and a romantic beach dinner setup were quite a nice start.
My first Bintang beer (Bintang means star).
Late in the night we finally arrived at the great Pandaman villas, a luxury retreat. Each villa has its own pool. The beach sand is grey/black because it is volcanic.
Saturday started with a second dance performance. Stop two was the Waterfall. A big waterfall threw brown (soil) water to a valley. Then we went to the Indiana Jones setting of the Temple of Doom and an elderly farmer lady in the rice paddies accompanied me to a small and clean waterfall.
Lunch was at a nice restaurant above a great scenery of rice paddies. After that we went to a cat poo coffee farm and had the famous Kopi Luwak. At the end some shopping in tourist area and back to our villa.
Last week partying in Singapore was really nice. Went to Indochine for dinner and the Pump Station for live music. Sneak peak into Home club (dubstep music).
As advised by some we went to Raffles for the original Singapore Sling. It is supposedly the only place in Singapore where you can throw the nuts on the floor without breaking the law. Nut scattering is excessively done by the guests.
On Friday morning we went to Bali / Indonesia.
We were seeing an elephant bathing and did a day trip around the famous Hampi temples.
The drive back to Bangaluuru / Bangalore in a Mahindra Scorpio was just in time for the flight to Singapore.
As Team Taj worked quite nice together the same group will head out today to explore the UNESCO World Heritage of Hampi. It is located within the ruins of the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.
First the flight will go to Bangalore, then we will drive by car to Hampi and stay there until Sunday.
For me this is a good-bye to my dear colleagues in Pune as I will directly go to Singapore afterwards.
On Sunday Team Taj explored the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
We saw Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), Pink City, Water Palace (view from shoreline), Amber Fort (really nice), Jantar Mantar and the City Palace.
Afterwards we went back to Delhi airport to fly to Pune.
